Sensei/Guro  Antonio “Bong” Estrada  Jr.’s personal mission is to propagate Shorin-ryu Karate Shidokan and Filipino Martial Arts. Bong Estrada is currently President and Chief Instructor of Philippine Cats Claw Martial Arts Association Kuwait.

As a practitioner of Shorin-ryu Karate-Do for over 20 years, he believes in the traditional Okinawan Master’s saying, “If it is in your mind it is only theory, if it is in your hands it is experience.” These are the words that he lives by, to share what he has learned .

Bong Estrada started Shorin-ryu Karate training under a group of friends during high school days and formal training of Isshin-ryu Karate in Delta Gym Quezon City in 1989. He was graded Black Belt of Okinawa Shorin-ryu under Master Edgar Telebangco in 1995.

He had never stopped learning in Martial Arts. When he came to Kuwait he joined the Philippine Cats Claw Martial Arts Association Kuwait, under Master Fraz G. Lopez who was practicing Okinawa  Shorin-ryu Karate and he introduced the Modern Arnis. Bong Estrada had achieved the Rank of Nidan 2nd Dan Black Belt under Master Fraz G. Lopez. He had trained in Combat Aikido under the tutorship of Arno Cardenas, a Combat Aikido Specialist and retired member of U.S. Navy. He had also trained in Full Contact Free Style Martial Arts under Sensei Harrie T. Casimiro. Guro Bong had also trained in Kali’s Ilustrisimo under his Mentor Master Arnold Narzo.

In 2016, he was awarded Yondan 4th Dan Black Belt by Kyoshi Dominador “Jun” Caballero Jr., chairman of Okinawa Shorin-ryu Karate-Do Association in the Philippines and Middle East. and also received the Certificate of Authority to Teach in Okinawa Shorin-ryu Shidokan.

In Sept 18, 2017. Filipino Martial Arts – Arnis Tirada System founded by Guro Bong Estrada to propagate the FMA specially for Non Filipino practitioners.

2020, he was awarded the 2nd Lakan/Black Belt by Grand Master Rodel Dagooc of Filipino Martial Arts of Dagooc Arnis System and received the Authority to Teach of Modern Arnis.

He is not only a Martial Arts Artist, but also a gun shooting enthusiast. He is one of the founding members of Filipino Action Shooting Team in Kuwait and a member of Philippine Practical Shooting Association in the Philippines. A former Junior Police in Western Police District Station 5 in Manila and also a former Agent of Intelligence Service of Armed Forces of the Philippines. ISAFP – MIG 6.

Sensei/Guro Bong is not only a teacher but a competitor as well. He participated in Karate and Arnis tournaments also in Shooting Competition:

  • March 2013 – Bronze Medal, GM Rodel Dagooc’s Cup Arnis Tournament in Kuwait
  • March 2012 – Silver Medal, GM Rodel Dagooc’s Cup Arnis Tournament in Kuwait
  • September 2006 – Silver Medal, President Cup Shooting Tournament
  • August 2004 – Champion, Team Challenge Assault Shooting Tournament
  • June 2004 – 1st place, Fast Pistoleros 1st year Anniversary Kuwaiti-Filipino Friendship Competition
  • December 2003 – 6th place, Assault Pistol Men’s Division First Kuwaiti-Filipino Shooting Championship
  • November 2003 – 5th place, Tactical Course Labor Attache Shootfest
  • November 2003 – 4th place, Assault Course Open Labor Attache Shootfest
  • September 2003 – 1st place, 5th All Filipino Practical Shooting Competition Assault Course
  • September 2003 – 1st place, 4th All Filipino Practical Shooting Competition
