FMA 12 Basic Strikes

The 12 basic strikes with counter strike can practice in a stationary position (normal stance) and fighting stance position either left forward stance or right forward stance. Once you know the 12 striking techniques, then you can practice with the dynamic movements like “V switching position”. For instance, In strike number 1, if you strike in the left temple of your opponent your are in right forward stance position. In strike number 2, if you strike in the right temple of your opponent your fighting position should be in the left forward stance, the same strike in number 3, switch your fighting position to right forward stance while executing the strike to the left shoulder of your opponent..etc. Always the Live hand is in “On Guard position”. The live hand is use for trapping, locking, supporting weapon blocks, checking, disarming, striking and controlling the opponent.
